We get a lot of questions about our parkups and how we find them so we’ve made this video as a guide for you all. We cover 2 ways of find your parkups, the first is using google maps and tips of where to start looking on the map, the second parkup finding tip is to drive around the edges of urban areas to find a spot where the locals might park for their daily walk etc.

That was very useful. We are stuck in Western Australia, roughly 10 times the size of the UK with a population of under 3 million people and, you’d think, lots of wilderness areas suitable for free camping, but there are still so many places where overnight camping is highly regulated. Inland is better than the coast, with lots of towns and villages offering free camping to encourage tourism, but summer is a problem as it’s so hot away from the sea that you wouldn’t want to be there anyway. I feel encouraged to try finding our own places rather than just using those on our camping app which tend to be very busy. Our state has closed its borders to the rest of Australia and Australia is mostly closed to the rest of the world. We have low COVID-19 numbers, but at a cost.
